For a variety of reasons, it has been several years since this blog was updated. Over the next few weeks we will be adding some recent works, including drawings and paintings from life drawing sessions which we regularly attend.

It has been a long dry spell for updates to this blog. There are many reasons, not least of which was the loss of a very dear lady who spent much of 2008 trying to survive leukemia. Sadly she lost her battle late last year and our family misses her greatly.

These two oil pastels by Gloria were inspired by a visit to a riding stable in Steamboat Springs, Colorado a few years ago. It was a wonderful family event with our children and grandchildren.

These four pieces by Gary are relatively small (9"x12" or 11"x14"). The first is a sanguine portrait of one of our regular life drawing models. The second is an older watercolor portrait of another life drawing model. The yellow rose is done in pastel and the final piece is done in sepia from a photo reference.
